Resource This ITP displays a grid, which has a ‘mirror’ in the middle. The mirror can be set to a horizontal, vertical or diagonal orientation and then adjusted by dragging it around a central point. Squares on the grid can be highlighted in yellow and the shape created can be moved to a new position on the grid
Resource An introductory worksheet designed for children working at level 2 or 3 of the national curriculum or for older children to revise from. Children shade in the squares to reflect the pattern at the other side of the “mirror”.
Lesson TES: This activity is good for children to practise reflection. Used this to extend an Above Average set (Y4) so some of the mirror lines (in red) and the shapes themselves are a bit tricky!
