Michael Rosen: Chocolate cake poem
Video Michael Rosen shares his memory of a chocolate cake from his childhood and performs his poem of the same name for a group of children - an excellent example of performance poetry.
Resource TES: Students are given 15 minutes in groups to design a chocolate bar. A plain bar costs 20p to make, and then students pick a selection of upgrades from their sheets. These range from nuts and caramel, to bacon and magical ingredients!
Resource TES: Which chocolate bar is best value for money? Maths activity suitable for KS3 and KS4. Statistical investigation. Pupils collect data, comparing the price of chocolate bars, and use the results to price their own chocolate bar. Proportional reasoning. Drawing and interpreting scatter diagrams.

Lesson Inspired by a resource from TES ( http://www.tes.co.uk/teaching-resource/Easter-Egg-investigation-6074691/) which has some lovely scanned in photos of packaging and receipts, a lesson based on the same resource but made more suitable for lower Key Stage 2.
